hello…..! I’m back! I had quite a major set back over the last few days, but I’m back now with a vengeance!
Right, it has been a crazy four days! On Saturday evening I wanted to just sit, relax, take my meds and write my blog, but it didn’t happen like that..
During Saturday day my older two girls had decided to surprise us by tidying up our lounge and dinning room. Bless! It looked amazing, they had done such a fab job! Unfortunately though they managed to some how throw my box for my levothyroxine in the bin and the tablets in with all my other meds. So when I came to take my tablets mike and I searched everywhere for them, in the process I took my other meds. Mike finally found the box in the bin, which made me think it might be in my box with the others. I found them, and as I picked them up a huge rush of dread came over me, there was 9 tablets missing and I had only been on them for 5 days, I suddenly realised instead of taking 4 of my other regular medication I had taken 4 of them instead! We immediately rung an ambulance because we had both read the script that came with the tablets so we knew what could happen if you were to OD. Thankfully I didn’t have to go to the hospital as when they rang the toxic team they told us it wasn’t deemed a lethal dose. It might not have been lethal but it has taken me 4 days to feel better and back to normal, well as normal as I can be lol! I had very bad chest pain and palpitations for the first 36 hrs, I was an emotional reck, one min I was mad, I wanted to scream at everyone, then the next min I was crying, it was horrible I couldn’t control it, much worse than pregnancies! I was sick, nausea s, had trouble weeing, soooo tired and had two really massive migraines, totally crippling. So I haven’t eaten much at all, and anything I did I brought up, I started eating properly again this morning and now I feel loads better!
So, I’m just gonna carry on where I left off starting from tomorrow, so I have 2 more days of recording what I eat honestly. Then I need to decide what I am gonna change and what I am gonna eliminate from my diet.
I have had a great response to my blog, and I’m very pleased. One of my closest friends, Jo(also suffers with hypothyroidism) has shown me some amazing articles that I want to share with you. (Next blog post) thank you Jo! They are really gonna be helpful to me and I know to a few of u as well,
Big love,Em x
